2008 International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition
International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition provides young and amateur chamber music ensembles from around the world with an opportunity to compete with each other in their respective age group and perform in the best music halls of New England and New York .
The Competition is open to student and amateur ensembles of all ages and nationalities. The Chamber Ensembles will compete with each other within their respective age group and categories. The 2008 ICMEC includes nine chamber music categories and five age groups. The ICMEC categories include:

Ensemble's Age Group is determined by the age of its oldest member on March 15, 2008.
Competition Rules and Audition Proces:
Each participating Chamber Music Ensemble should submit an application in both electronic form and paper form. Electronic form is available here.
An application form should be postmarked by March 15, 2008.
An audition piece must consist of a single composition or a movement of a composition not exceeding 15 minutes in length. The same piece will be performed at a winner's concert if a prize is awarded.
