2005 International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition

The First ICMEC competition has attracted more than 40 chamber music ensembles from the most prestigious musical institutions, such as:

The Juilliard School of Music, The New England Conservatory, Phillips Academy of Andover, The Longy School of Music, The Walnut Hill School of Art, The Moscow Conservatory, The Boston Conservatory and many others.

Eleven First Prize Winners competed for the Grand Prize on May 30, 2005 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Two ensembles, the Clarion Piano Trio and the Midday Jazz Quartet were declared the Grand Prize Winners .

The Second Prize Winners group performed at Edward M. Pickman Hall at Longy School in Cambridge, MA on June 12, 2005. The Third Prize Winners performed on June 5, 2005 at St. Mark Center for the Performance Arts in Southborough, MA.
